VW Eurovan Camper LP / Propane 2 Stage Gas Regulator, 253-070-604
Install note: Because the copper fuel lines on your camper were hand bent, no two are alike. Therefore, you may need to shorten and re-flare your gas lines that go to the regulator. This is a relatively simple procedure and a re-flaring tool can be purchased at a hardware store.
Special note for Eurovan owners: You will need to change the orientation of the regulator so that the vent hole faces downward. Eurovans use flexible hoses, so this is a fairly easy modification. If you have doubts about your ability to perform this modification, please take your vehicle to a professional shop.
WARNING: When attaching fittings to the regulator, be sure to support the regulator with a second wrench at the end you are attaching the fitting. DO NOT hold the opposite end of the regulator while torqueing down the fitting as this can crack the casing of the regulator.
