This 1999 Volkswagen Eurovan Camper has only approximately 80,000 original miles, has had just one owner, and comes with a complete service history! Before offering this Eurovan for sale, we had it thoroughly inspected by our experienced Volkswagen technician. Rather than simply detailing it and putting it on the market, we've been addressing the age-related items uncovered during that inspection so the next owner can start their adventures with confidence.
Mechanical Inspection & Service
The inspection produced some very encouraging results. The underside is dry, with no apparent engine oil, coolant or transmission leaks, and a complete vehicle scan showed no stored fault codes. The van drives very well, has plenty of power and shifts smoothly.
The HVAC system operates properly, and the driver's controls, power windows, power mirrors, horn, turn signals and exterior lighting were all tested and are functioning as they should. The van also has a newer starting battery.
Because this Eurovan has traveled so few miles over its 27-year life, some of its original suspension components had deteriorated from age rather than mileage. We're taking care of those items before the sale.

The tires are also in excellent condition with 11/32" tread depth front and rear, and the brakes measured approximately 60% remaining in front and 70% in the rear at the time of inspection.
Camper Systems & Refurbishment
We also performed a complete inspection of the Winnebago camper equipment. The LP system tested good, and the plumbing system tested good.
As with many original Eurovan Campers of this age, several of the camper components needed attention. We're addressing some of those items as part of preparing the van for its next owner.
The original pop-top tent was deteriorated and has been replaced with a brand-new tent. We also performed our luggage rack service and waterproofing of the pop-top mounting blocks.
We're also replacing the worn original window blinds.
The van does have a few cosmetic issues, including yellowing of some of the interior plastics and deterioration/water damage to portions of the galley-area flooring. These are items that our Poptop World Service Department can address for the new owner if desired.
Rather than invest in a more extensive cosmetic restoration, the owner has chosen to offer the camper as-is at a significantly lower price point, giving the next owner the opportunity to enjoy it as it is or have us complete additional improvements based on their preferences and budget.
